In memory of “Robert Wheat” of Arkansas
Sad News came our way today from our Very Good Friend, Rick Wheat. Rick is a fellow farrier and BWFA Hall of Fame Inductee, a Professional Horseman and Inventor of the Noavel Headstall. He and his family have devoted their lives and careers to working with horses. On Tuesday, July 17, 2018, Rick lost his oldest son Robert while riding a horse and working cattle that day. The horse fell over on him. Robert being a professional rodeo personality and announcer he was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Our condolences go out to Rick and Shawna Wheat, son James and family members during their time of sorrow.
Rick and his sons were a “team” as they traveled all over the U.S. and abroad to promote the Noavel Headstall and their training techniques. Rick was known “as family” by everyone in the BWFA, and especially by our school where every graduate met him from 2000-2008, along with members of the Farrier Industry and most horseshoeing schools at that time.
For anyone who met Rick, purchased his Noavel or just know him by name only, please feel free to call, send a message, etc.
Rick is a very personable fellow and says he would welcome your phone calls at 870-307-5274.
