BWFA Awards


 

FNRC's Ledbetter Award


Named after Scott Ledbetter, a member and owner of the Farriers National Research Center established in 2000. Scott spends hours working with horse owners in helping them care for their horses in need of hoof care in extreme cases. Many time owners cannot afford the farriers fee, at times he would offer his services at no charge. As part of the FNRC he would refer the owners to take their horses to the facility for hoof care by the staff for extended periods of time. Many times the horses were returned to the owner or donated to a new owner. This has saved the lives of many  horses. Each year there are special farriers who volunteer their time and energy as Scott does.


Henceforth, we feel the Ledbetter Award for Faithful and Continued Support is a worthy recognition.
